Can't turn it off!!!
I cannot turn this vacuum off unless I push the on/off switch with both thumbs! My children cannot use it at all. An elderly person or someone with arthritis could NOT turn this off without assistance. I bought this vacuum to replace a dirt devil that had lasted for 8 years, but had less than fab suction. This one picks up okay - but for the price, I expected more. The filter gets clogged very easily and if you use it to clean up flower petals or small pieces of tissue paper - forget it, it just stops. Not for the crafty family! I used to like Black & Decker. Their products are failing of late and if I hadn't lost my receipt, this vacuum would be back at the store it came from! DON'T buy this one. B & D, are you listening?
This vacuum sucks
This vacuum is almost impossible to turn on and off; you need both hands. Also, hard to remove the container to empty it. It picks up crumbs and stuff off my kitchen floor ok , but you could probably find one for half the price that does better than this. Don't buy it.
Defective Power Switich
Bought this vacuum to replace a New Black & Decker 14.4-Volt DustBuster, Model CHV1408. It also has the same poorly designed On/Off switch. Sadly, I returned it to Amazon for a refund. I would not recommend this product.
