Not what I expected
I was excited to receive this item and the day it came, I cooked with it that night. I air fried chicken wings and the flavor was great, they were moist and all of that. But they did not brown so they were not as appealing in appearance. The unit has a wash cycle on it, where it will clean itself but I was VERY disappointed with that feature. At the end of the 15 minute wash cycle, there was still a lot of chicken residue/grease inside the unit so I had to wash it by hand. In addition to that, using the wash cycle clearly shows you how the convection works -- and instead of the air moving in a rapid circular motion like advertised, it seemed to 'bounce' inside the glass container. When the unit was cleaning itself the soapy water barely moved, it looked more like waves on the water's surface - there was no circular motion at all. I am thinking about trying to roast a 16 pound turkey and if that turns out well, that will be all that I use the unit for. The turkey is supposed to cook in...
