Tamarack doesnt honor 30 day return policy
According to David J. Lapollo, V.P. Sales/Marketing, Tamarack refused to take back the two fans I purchased that were unopened in the box. After discussing my application with my installer and insulation contractor, I decided these were not right for me after all and he said they only sold one of them per year or so and that as such he would have to sit on it for too long if he took it back. I even asked if I could pay a restocking fee and he refused.
Face is slightly larger than opening in a standard "decora" wall plate
I needed easy background ventilation without using a larger box than the one already in the wall. That meant a combination switch which does both on demand switching and automatic background venting on a schedule. If it wasn't for the face not fitting through a standard "decora" plate I'd give this 5 stars no problem. Easy to program, all the features I wanted, excellent -- but I had to shave 1/32" off the inside of my face plate; what were they thinking?
