Good fan - at least for a while
Pros:
Relatively quiet motor, strong base, heavy duty cord with plenty of length. Light enough to carry from room to room. 3 speeds offer good airflow choices.
Cons:
Oscillating mechanism started to squeek after a couple weeks. This is very irritating when yo are trying to sleep. WD40 does little to quiet the noise. A heavy duty fan such as this should have been built with an equally heavy duty oscillating gear.
Also, assembling the fan took great agility and innovation. When assembling the front fan shield, a circular clamp w/screw is required to hold it in place. The shield is heavy and moves easily, making it difficult to keep the shield halves alligned while tightening the screw. I took several plastic ties and attached the front shield onto the rear shield with them. Once the front shield was somewhat fixed in place I was able to use both hands to tighten the screw on the clamp to hold the front shield onto the rear shield. Once everything was screwed...

When I ordered this fan I read as many reviews as I could find. Not all were that complimentary, however this fan has been perfect for my needs.
This fan can move air . Many complained of the noise, but how could they. When you move a lot of air there is going to be noise. Take a jet for example. How loud are they because they move a lot of air. Its the same principle. I do not hesitate to recommend this unit . It has been in constant use for over a month to help move the A/C air around my house. It works great.

I bought this fan for my husband. He loves it. He cant sleep without it on.
So ladies if you have a boyfriend or a husband that likes big boy toys, this is the gift for him.
